In IWX versions before 2.8.x, we used to have a UI option to provide the SMTP settings as shown below.

Enter the required values:
• SMTP Host: The URL or IP of the SMTP host on which the SMTP server is running.
• SMTP Port: The port where the SMTP service is running.
• Authentication/SSL/TLS: Select the checkboxes accordingly.
• Sender Email Address: The email address from which the emails will be sent.
• Sender Password: Sender email account password.

Starting from IWX v2.8.x this option is removed from the UI and customers need to perform the below manual steps to update their SMTP settings otherwise their Email Notification tasks will fail.

Upgrade path from IWX versions before v2.8.x to v2.8.x

If customers upgrade from any version before v2.8.x to v2.8.x and if they have Email Notification tasks in the workflow, they need to perform the below steps post the upgrade to configure the SMTP settings.
